the word screw can be used in so many ways its not funny.
to screw=to have sex
screw up=mess up, make a mistake, make a boo-boo
to be screwed=to be cheated
screwy=wacky, strange

most of the time, if you replace "screw" with "f**k" it means the same thing, but to a greater extent.

i forgot this:
screw you/f**k you means about the same as "go to hell". not a very nice thing to say.

Then there's "screwing around", which can mean either having sex or goofing off .. but usually of a sexual nature .. and "screw" the noun...meaning a prison guard...are we confused yet?
