"Yunz" is not just limited to SW Missouri. It is also the typical form of "you" in Southwest/central Pennsylvania, and probably many points in between.

Nobody commented on the wonders of the Pittsburgh accent (which is less an accent and more a completely different form of English). I'm a bit out of the way to be an expert on it, and maybe others know a bit more. But, here are a few examples:

Picsburgh = Pittsburgh
daw com = dot com
anat = and that
ain't no = that couldn't possibly be

and many more that I'm not familiar with...

Also, there should be a slight difference between "redneck" and "hick". Redneck is more severe, indicating a greater country accent and a more limited vocabulary (assumed).

As well as "Hoosier", which is a unique breed of "Hick" found in St. Louis, MO - as opposed to the basketball team from Indiana.

The "Hoosier" can act somewhat like a normal, everyday joe...but with a few exceptions:

1) A preference for "Natural Lite" beer (Natty lite) or "Busch" when everyone else is trying out the expensive stuff.

2) Secretly listens to Stryper and Pantera (really bad US heavy-metal bands) when no one is watching.

3) Thinks that a trip to the "Bass Pro Shops" (Springfield, MO) is a great place to have a honeymoon...

and 4) Loves "Jerry Springer" and yearns for, deep in his little heart, that double-wide trailer home that they're giving away on the show.

The "Hoosier" might be classified differently by other St. Louisans, but the people I know go by the references above.
