A Conversation for Games to Play Down by the River

Building Dams

Post 1

To do this one needs a suitable small creek of off-shoot thereof and two or more combatants...

Both sides try and either divert the creek or dam off the off-shoot by building mini-dams with river-stones, mud, sticks and whatever else comes to hand.

It's a great way to cool off in a smaller creek.

Unfortunately if you play against a team of beavers you will inevitably lose.

I find building Dams while you are on holiday in the North of Britain a very interesting thing to do. Camping places often have streams so this is an ideal setting for it, unless it is a very very big river.
