A Conversation for Tyrannosaurus Rex - Dinosaur Superstar

Just discovered the following info:
The first piece of the animal later to be known as T.Rex was found by Edward Cope in 1892. He called it Manospondylus gigas ('giant thin vertebrae'), but he did not find enough bones for the name to stick. T.rex was more fully described and named in 1902.
More than 100 years after Cope, palawontologists discovered the rest of Cope's original skeleton and, under the rules of palaeontology which were current then, Cope's original name should have taken precedence. However, the authorities changed the rules and T.Rex was saved.
