You know your mother always told you to wear clean underwear when you went out, in case you were hit by a bus? Cause it would be a terrible thing if you were killed and they found out you didn't have clean knickers on?
Well its TRUE. But the worst thing is if you are NOT killed and the people in A&E find out you're wearing dirty pants!
This happened to me many years ago when I was hit by a car and the emergency staff had to cut my trousers off owing to my broken leg. I was horribly embarrassed and they were not amused.
The moral is: always listen to your mother! (Unless she's spouting stuff you don't want to hear, of course)
