The h2g2 Poem

Art is art, isn't it? So whatever the artist wants to use to convey that image caught in his imagination, it's ok to use? It doesn't matter if its sliced pieces of a calf displayed in formaldehyde in a clear glass case for every curious pair of eyes to stare at – it's art! That's validation enough – isn't it?
Work of Art
2002
Vermillion was the colour,
Green, came a splash,
White salted the tinge of purple,
Black - there was a dash.
Blue shadowed hollows,
Ochre a plenty,
Pretty, pretty picture,
Still life simplicity.
Canvas unveiled,
Screams defiled,
Raving lunatic,
Child disemboweled.
Title was 'Virgin Birth',
Caesarean of a toy doll,
Child was around seven,
Displayed wide was a boy.
Police entered artist's realm,
Found the body there,
Amidst the painted smell of death -
The bones of life's despair.
