I will write something on the movies some day -- but there is an upcoming one in preparation, with Vincent Cassel as Fantomas!
(Amusingly, it seems there will be no Juve 
)
I hope it won't be like the comedy series with Louis de Funes though, and closer to the books. Well, one may dream.

Ah, it seems Vincent Cassel won't play the role after all. But there will be Juve (by Jean Reno).
Personally I could imagine Mathieu Amalric as a very convincing Fantomas.
