Now that was the best roundabout of all time, though Dougal and the Blue Cat did terrify me!
"I am blue! I am beautiful! I am best!"
How scary was that?
Boinggggg!Time for bed!

There's a theory which states that every party eventually deteriorates into a discussion (usually in the kitchen) about children's televison ...

All parties I have been to have this stage. It usually splits people into a number of camps. Those who have seen the Clangers, those who have not seen the Clangers, and those who claim to understand them perfectly, and who will then whistle amongst themselves until beaten severely by those who have never seen the Clangers, and would much rather discuss Bagpuss.
As for roundabouts, have you ever attempted the passage of the Crooked Billet? It defeats the logic of all roundabouts as stated (i.e. sticking a large island in the middle of the road), by shoving a large dual carriageway right through the middle. It is of couse, fully signalled both round and through, with totally random numbers of lanes at any point on it's circumference. Do not attempt the traverse of this roundabout by bicycle

Eh? What's Corona? Well, I know what Corona is, it's a sparkling fruit drink, but what has that got to do with the Clangers?

Alternatively, Corona is an eriee thingy around the sun, which we will all get to see in August (those of us who can get to cornwall that is!! hehehehehe)

having said that, it is quite irrelevent to people not in england
(it's not irrelevent - it's a hippopotomus! Long Live (the memry of) Flanders and Swann!)

It'll be completely irrelevant to us as well if it's a cloudy day!! Are you heading down for the party?

It's the other argument people have online - was it Cresta or Corona which was advertised with bubbles doing their 'fizzical'?
You know a thread has gone off-topic if the subject covers:
a) Bagpuss (or old children's TV in general)
b) Spangles (or any other childhood confectionary no longer available)
c) Gun control
d) one person calling another person a Nazi

Ahh, I see. Rather like we're doing at this very moment! Is there an exclusive children's cartoon forum yet? And if not, why not? I can feel another user page coming on...

Are you going to one of the big festivals, or are you heading for the hills? I'm probably going to go to the Megadog fest, but need to smash my penny jar first!!
