Congrats, Anhaga, on a fascinating little article. I never heard of the Exeter book before and know little about Old English literature. I do know that I loved the Epic of Beowulf. You have whetted my appetite to find out more about the Exeter Book.

Thanks, BC. I'm glad you found the entry interesting. I'm afraid that finding anything comprehensive about the Exeter Book may be difficult; I don't know of any complete translations, for example. Many of the poems are translated individually and in collections. Most discussions of the poems are in scholarly journals. I hope you don't get frustrated trying to learn more.
