I remember a few years ago that Micheal Moore also had a live TV show, it was shot in New York, but broadcast live on late night Channel 4. It had a call-in section, and an English guy who had to wear a rubber mask because he was an "illegal alien in New York!". I can't remember what it was called, or am I thinking of the Awful Truth?

Am I right in thinking that he also did a show on BBC2 called TV nation from Times Square in NY? It had a section which was only seen by BBC viewers when the US viewer went to a commercial break.
