It's good etiquette to say 'hello' or 'good afternoon' to fellow walkers that you pass on your way.
It's easy to forget this if you're a townie, when all to often talking to strangers means you're a weirdo!

yes I do thins when out walking, also helping the lost walker is also a good thing too do , if you see someone looking lost just ask if they need some help to find there way, not everyone is a top map reader.
