The scourge of the city slicker! The outhouse is one things that a city person might encounter in the countryside that will disgust them. But remember, outhouses are generally in areas without plumbing or the money for plumbing. Instead of complaining, try to empathise that this person doesn't have plumbing.
But don't patronize them!
This comes from a bit of experience in Kentucky. I also have a fine knowledge of double decker outhouses
