Several practical, common-sensical suggestions there, but they all boil down to one thing - mutual respect. After or while doing something in a common area, howsabout a quick glance around to see if there's anything that might offend/irritate your room-mate/s/girl-/boyfriend? Brownie points for something that might actually please the other/s in some way! Btw, the "common area" does not exclude such planes of interaction as just-being-together, conversation, intercourse, and everything else in between.

Corrigendum: The last sentence should read, "Btw, the "common areas" are also on such planes of interaction as just-being-together, conversation, intercourse, and everything else in between."
