Wasn't the Sophie in the BFG book by Roald Dahl based on his granddaughter, Sophie Dahl. How she manages to become his daughter in the TV interview I'm not sure.

Sophie Dahl is indeed the granddaughter of Roald Dahl. A mistake by the author of the article, methinks.
Good piece, though, in it's way.

Yes Phil, you're right, Sophie is Roald Dahl's granddaughter.
It's not as if she hasn't been endlessly gossiped about in trash 'celebrity' magazines and the low-rent end of the 'news'paper market.

if i knew how to delete them i would, but sadly i'm too much of a muppet to manage to work it out - it isn't immediately obvious.

Don't worry about the multiple posting thing, it's always been like that at times and no you can't delete them
Key: Complain about this post
