What makes this a submarium? I've been in aquariums where you can walk under the tanks.

I thought The Deep was a great place to visit - next time I'm in the Yorkshire area on a rainy day I hope to return there. It's well worth a visit!

Ah - alas it seems to be clashing with the London meet, and is a bit far to go to and back in a day from Southampton...
I looked at this article as I was browsing the guide for articles I've got photos of, but you've got a picture here already!

Yep, I'd definitely say this was an improvement - strangely, I can't remember what the entrance door looks like...

It's nothing special. I took the photo when going in, then a year later we were on the jetty t'other side of The Deep and got some fantastic shots.
It was soon replaced by the Eds

I thought it is quite a fun shaped building, like a fish leaping out to sea.
