A Conversation for Rumpole of the Bailey

As an American I have grown to hate lawyers, have read reams of jokes about lawyers and if arrested would learn to love them instantly. In the case of Rumpole of the Bailey, the Love/hate relationship is perpetuated in spades. I remember just about all of the episodes that ran on Public broadcasting ( no I cant quote them verbatim like some fans) but I grew to like this quirky barrister, and like so much of English television in America, I just couldn't get enough of it.
Yes, I know that everything must come to an end. I enjoyed it while it lasted.
