I agree
May I speak for Pin? Andrew, my sub editor friend who wrote this specifically told me he didn't change very much. I don't know why he told me this, but it came in handy for this forum
Great picture, I think! If Dr Funderlik reads this, Well done!
well deserved.
Boots Posted Jun 24, 2003
Dr Funderlik does pictures as well as words? I hate her!
Take care (but not too much of him)

Hi Guys
Thanx!
Seems I'm fated to be away on every (rare) occasion that I make the EG.
I should thank Andrew; it is very little altered. The biggest change is the reversal of the title.
I have mixed feelings about this Entry because at times when writing it I was flying, but held back because I knew the EG would never accept a fictionalised version.
There are also parts I left in as a test, and almost wish I hadn't. The first paragraph of the section subtitled "The Beginning of the End" is a case in point. Scouts and Editors should have excised that because it's opinion and addresses the second person. I wish they had because it's poorly written.
And well done indeed Dr F. I feel privileged to be 'done' by the elite.
Talk more soon, when unpacked.

Editors' Selection for Monday
Today's entry tells The Tale of the Batavia in a way that draws you in and holds you hostage with its suspense and its drama. This is what bringing history to life is all about...
well deserved.
Boots Posted Jun 25, 2003
Hi Pin. You so never write 'poorly' (great grammar eh!). How's the rejection slip collage going? Is the book launch pending?
h2g2 galaxy seems a little arid at the moment. Too much politics too little writing. Loved this one though http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/A1087094
but hey am a sucker for cheese.
Good to have you back.
Take care

..but I am a hermaphrodite, Boots ..
Thanks for all the comments on the picture. It was a labour of love for me, this one, as I am 100% behind this entry. So I wanted to get a picture as good as possible.
Well done again, Pin.

Though I do like the elephant with sneakers on
well deserved.
J Posted Jun 26, 2003
You've been quite prolific, I remember specifically this one, the talking point with the world for sale, the prague dial, the elephant, gosford park, not to mention the ones you did for the test. I've seen quite a few CAs do very few pieces of art
rambling
well deserved.
Dr Deckchair Funderlik Posted Jun 26, 2003
Ahh, now you flatter me Jodan ..
But, like they say in Hollywood,
'You're only as good as your next picture'
well deserved.
