Good entry Em smiley - smiley

I tried making a bag once, but have to come to realise that I suck at anything that involves material or sewing.

My friend has a duct tape bag, it's cool.

It's a shame that this entry isn't in the Craft category as well as fashion. Maybe I'll ask the Editors when I get a spare moment smiley - smiley

I once tried to make a pencil case but it fell apart (literally) two minutes after I put stuff in it.

as for your pencil case, you probably didn't tie off your threads properlysmiley - winkeye when I made my first bag I did that and ended up in the middle of the St Johns Centre in Perth with the shoulder strap breaking off and all my stuff on the shops floor smiley - laugh I still have the bag but as yet haven't reattached the strap

Basically I did crappy tacking and then completely messed up the sewing machine. I'm awful at that sort of this, I don't even try anymore.

Better go to bed soon, I have a stupid bloody driving lesson tomorrow so I need my sleep.

Talk tomorrow smiley - hug

Okay sweetie, you shouldn't give up with the sewing though, I mean it's just a case of straight stich and then to avoid tying up the ends turn round your material with eth needle still in and double back over what you've done (smore machines have a reverse button, I've yet to discover how the one on my mums machine works!)

will talk to you later (and bloody well come on MSN once in a while I miss you!)

Nice one. I did make a duct tape bag, and it's mighty useful. *Is inspired to go write an entry now* Oops, had meant to actually log off and go to bed. Oh well.

I've tried sewing and am an utter disaster. It doesn't help that our sewing machine hates everybody except one of my friends, and won't ever work properly.

Ah yes, MSN. I really should go on there rather than just sticking to h2g2 and email.

Maybe I'll be on tonight smiley - smiley

I could ask Hannah (maker of duct tape bags and other things) how you do it. She isn't on h2g2 though so I'd probably just have to plagiarise her idea and put it in to PR smiley - smiley

There, wrote the article (A1008992)! It's really not that hard to do. One day I decided I really wanted to make one, and the hardest part was going out into the snowstorm to get the duct tape.
I keep meaning to learn how to sew, but I get discouraged too easily when I mess things up.
