A Conversation for Great Horror Movies
American Werewolf in London

Great Horror flick which made me wary of the downs for a bit after seeing it. But it was the special effects at the time actually seeing the transformation into a werewolf almost in reality with several cut aways just to add a few more prosthetics whic hmade it a classic.
BTW The scene in the porn cinema in Picadilly Circus was shot in what is now the Gap Store but I used to work in that building when it was H Samuels. The manager at the time used to regale new starts with the tale that a werewolf once prowled the basement.

Porn cinema to Gap store - an interesting transition.
The bit I particularly remember about this one is the dedication at the end of the movie wishing Charles & Diana a long and happy marriage.
Oh, and the soundtrack is pretty good as well

... as (allegedly) is Julian Sands' acting in Arachnaphobia.

I loved American Werewolf In London! I thought the parts where his rotting best friend would pop up to give him advice were hilarious!
