Would you believe it's been so long since I left a message in someone's PS, I forgot which button to use?
Thankfully, I didn't push the nuke button by mistake.
Since I enjoyed the Deepgate trilogy so much, I'd like to keep track of your suggestions for further reading, but I am senile and keep forgetting to write titles down and then losing them in backlog. So I thought I might leave you a little note here and when you have something to recommend, maybe you can post it here?

David Eddings - I've just finished the second (of five) of The Belgariad series. Not the same as Campbell, but very, very good.
Joe Abercrombie - The Blade Itself, Before they are Hanged and the other one *googles* The Last Argument of Kings. If nothing else you'll have two new phrases in your head, 'Still alive' and 'you can never have too many knives'
Don't forget also that Alan Campbell has started a new trilogy The Gravedigger Chronicles - Sea of Ghosts. I've not read it yet, but hubby has and says it's just as odd and twisted as Deepgate, he can't wait for the next one.

Ok, I'll have a rummage at the library soon and see if they have any of these.
Trilogies, or series with not too many volumes, I'm OK with purchasing. But as one of the major reasons we're looking for a new apartment is that we're at critical mass with respect to storage space... I am trying not to get hooked on anything with loads of volumes I'll want.
This is a great start!! Thank you.
