Hiya there!

Just being nosey! Had to get to the end of the test after starting to read it on the handbag thread, almost on the edge of my seat with suspense! What a way to start Monday morning .

You got it in the end though, Witty Ditty! Good old nurses' gut instinct was screaming 'ruptured ectopic pregnancy don't hang around she's bleeding buckets!'

I need a coffee now.

Awwwh - sorry about the dramatic start to Monday morning smiley - smiley

Hope you're all nice and chilled now smiley - hug

Actually, when shock was mentioned, what was crossing my mind what 'that can't be a ruptured AAA, or a bit of ischaemic bowel, surely...?'

The lower abdo pain should have been screaming out at me 'pelvic pain - what's the structures!!!'

You'll have to forgive my slowness and obvious vascular/gastro bias here - I've had the mis/fortune to be on three surgical firms, so I've got a whole lotta blood and guts in my head....

It should have been shockingly obvious to me, and now looking at the ol'cheese and onion, I had 3 choices, ruptured spleen (highly unlikely), ruptured/dissected AAA (incredibly unlikely), or the ectopic pregnancy (the most likely, and had I asked about LMP, I would have probably got it...)

Ah well, I'm going to hide under the 'I know nothing - I'm only a 3rd year smiley - grovel' hat until I've read a whole lot more smiley - smiley
