Did I miss something? Is there a particular reason for this spurt of random, pointless new threads in the community consortium forum?

I don't mind, I'm just curious.

Someone got the wrong end of the stick over on http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/F19585?thread=8200544&latest=1#p108734191. They thought it was going to a non-existant conversation. Instead, they were posting here.

Foiled again smiley - grrsmiley - winkeye

I think that Ed inadvertently posted a link inviting people to create threads which should have ended up drifting in the void, but by a mysterious wormhole end up on the Consortium page. Maybe.

I think that's what should happen. If you try to make a comment without being signed in, it takes you sign in. smiley - shrug

Oh, was it a 'reply to this post' link? I didn't realise.

Actually it was "create a new post" under the consortium forum, but it didn't display any title or location information...

It's another Barlesquerror.

One of my favourite Barlesque routines
is that the 'This is the posting to which
you are replying' section below the reply
dialog box is never the actual posting to
which I am replying but usually one further
back along the page I'm on.

No one else has ever mentioned this fault
as far as I know, but since I have the habit
of quoting from the posting to which I am
replying it gets a bit frustrating to write
a reply and then discover I can't copy and
paste the quote because it's not there.
