The Green Man: Part 11

Rod's Green Man, part 10.

A lot of time spent with a pencil and eraser (I need a new one of each, now) marking in the vegetation - which isn't completely unlike the original...?

… Looking at the original drawing, the leaves at the top overlap those below, all the way down (at least, that's the way I'm interpreting it) and that, folks, enables me to worry just a little less about the depth I cut to initially, around the head – I'd been thinking “Too deep, too deep” but maybe not.

The eyes though, they are a worry – can't see how to cut smooth convex curves at that depth. Just have to wait and see, as we get closer to that stage.

The leaf veins, too – they are going to have to be sunken, not raised – no chance of that! We're getting on towards the most complex, most awkward bits.
