How it aged.

While the first few series of knightmare were easily the best childrens tv programme on at the time (arguably one of the best ever) it didnt age well. As the technology/CGI used became more advanced the quality actually went down hill. Its was an old programme and a face lift couldnt disguise the fact that there were no new ideas being introduced and what was once a tense and enthralling programme became boring and predictable. It should have been axed sooner in order to preserve the mistique it had built up, then perhaps made a come back after a few years rather than flogging a dead horse. It was a sad end to a great programe

Just as well. If you had seen the early series' you would have been disgusted by how it degenerated. After reading the article I dont remember the pork pie being used as the health guage so I guess I stopped watching it it had got so lame. The regulars were clearly just going through the motions, as bored if it as I was by the end. The early series were far more tense and had more spirit and energy.
