The h2g2 Poem

Bottle

there stands a man alone on a hill

there stands a man

with a hole in his chest

his eyes are hollow and he is ill

he'll see the sun rise in the west

love swirls in a bottle

love is a flower some will say

against a dark deep blue sky

he strikes a pose of religious kind

perhaps he is trying to fly

out into space, out of his mind

love swirls in a bottle of drink

love is a sweet bottle of drink

love is a waste, some will think

love is a flower, some will think

some can drink

sun at his north and happiness south

poppies growing around his feet

screaming empty words

from his mouth

grasping at his love bottle,

sweet.
