The h2g2 Poem

1 Conversation

Son Up, I Up

We wake

In purple half light

Warm, muffled in duvet

Sheet and half sleep

Your regular breath

Lightly dusts my shoulder

You raise your head,

I turn and hold you;

Our bodies fit perfectly

It's a miracle

I lie,

In purple half light

Warm, muffled in duvet

Sheet and half sleep

Savouring the peace

Before you tell me

Sun up, I up

And toodle off downstairs

'Jamas at half mast

Still clutching your teddy
