Calling all Glasgow h2g2 Researchers!
Hello there!
I'm trying to contact any h2g2 Researchers living in Glasgow who might be interested in taking part in an exciting pilot project.
I work for the BBC in a department called 'Imagineering' which, in partnership with h2g2, is currently embarking on a project to create a guide to Life, the Universe and Everything. The project will will combine h2g2's 'unconventional wisdom' with the latest online technology, to create a virtual experience beyond compare (or so we hope).
While the Guide will, all going well, eventually expand in all sorts of directions, for the purposes of the pilot we'll be concentrating solely on Glasgow. With the help of local volunteers, the aim is to provide an insider's guide to the city with the help of video footage, VR environments, BBC archives and so on.
So, if you know where to find the best gigs or clubs in Glasgow... if there's a restaurant you reckon deserves to be put on the map... if you'd like to take part in a virtual tour of your favourite art gallery, football club or park.... if you can offer tips on how to get the best bargain at the Barras market... or anything else to do with Glasgow, then do please get in touch with me by posting to my Personal Space below.
