I am officially a worker ant but I am on "sabbatical" at the moment.

What is your role now?

After leaving the Colony Guards (although nothing was ever proven), I entered the world of private security. My special combination of military training, technical expertise and low cunning has made me invaluable in those ... er ... tricky moments in the lives (and deaths) of the famous and infamous. Previous employers include The Pope, OJ Simpson, Marge Simpson, Mohamed al-Fayed, Victoria Beckham and Big Bird.

I currently work for Peregrin the Presidential Candidate.

Do all pharaoh ants like red wine and pizza?

Pharaoh ants are found in bars and restaurants across the world. We are noted for our love of greasy and sweet foods therefore pizza, with its tomato paste and cheese, is ideal.

Ants have evolved from wasps and they are well known to be the biggest boozers in the animal kingdom. However, our tastes are somewhat refined and we prefer something smooth and Australian.

Having said that, I'm quite partial to the odd rough Bulgarian too.

Where do you live?

I live in Antrobus Hall

This painting shows the private apartment of my Uncle Antrobus. Note the collection of interesting sand grains on the top shelf and the strangely marked apple pip he collected last week. Uncle Antrobus is a bit weird. There is a suggestion that it runs in the family.
