h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Well I had a look at my page and it looks very lonely without a "Journal" (Diary, it's a DIARY). So here goes.
Did some SC1 science assesed practicals, went to radio club, passed morse test. Good day.

Congrats on the morse test, many say it's an out-moded mode of communication. Who cares it's more satisfying than this silly qwerty thing!

Well I've bettered that... on Monday I took the NRAE. Hopefully I passed...

OK, like I'm not trying any one-upmanship here. RAE -- the proper written one - 1976, CW the easy one-on one type with no procedures, no punctuation - 1981, H2G2 approved entry 2000!! That's achievement for you. I still can't get the hang of this qwerty thing though.

So, what call do I listen out for now? M0---? We may have our 2 metre repeater back soon, GB3KS at its new site. You should be able to get in from up there on 5 watts and a bit of wet string!
