Axl Rose and Sport

It is possible to deduce the sport of which Axl Rose sings by the application of some simple but subtle logic.
In "November Rain", Rose sings:
"Nothing lasts forever, even cold November rain".
However, in "Think about you", he sings:
"the love we shared, loving that'd last forever".
If nothing lasts forever, and there exists love that lasts forever, then it follows that love is nothing.
And, as we all know, love is nothing in the game of tennis.
The 'egg'

And it is called Love in tennis because the 'zero' resembled an egg. And 'l'oeuf' mean the egg in French and that sounds enough like 'love' that the mistake was perpetuated through the years...
