h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

When I was sitting in the sun yesterday afternoon I found a way back here. When I tried to post this fact yesterday evening there was a very widespread power cut that lasted at least six hours.
How are you all doing? (especially TC)

Hi WS. I am doing fine at the moment, thank you. Our little grandson is here (staying with his mother at the other grandparents just down the road). It's been fine weather so we've been swimming with him - at the local gravel pit (walking distance) but yesterday we went to the swimming pool.

I have a flight booked to the UK early October - to spend a week clearing my mother's house with my sister. (My mother died in July - I was there at the time)

Then in December I am flying on my own to California to lend a hand while my 4th grandchild is born. Due date is 19 December. I should just make it back in time for midnight mass on Christmas Eve.

One goes and another one comes. It was ever thus.

Let's hope you manage to keep your foot in the door of this ageing website this time, and can post your antics.

Are you still working at the Cathedral or do I remember reading that getting there was giving you problems?

Currently in Wexford but would otherwise still be in the cathedral,TC.

19th December is a very good day to be born. It's the year of the pig this year and my eldest will be "4 years old" on 19th December.

My life is so different now, I barely have time to log in hear but it's nice to touch base.
