I have just succeeded in putting my own pressure socks on. (Took nearly half an hour)

you'll be putting htem on in five minutes before long! - heck, I need a break between putting the left sock on, and putting on the right on, someotimes now!

As far as I know, I can stop wearing them next Wednesday, but I may use them as flight socks on Thursday.

ahh... really..... ; come on... admit it... your addicted to them now arn't you?

I was thinking of a ceremonial burning, but this hip has already caused enough pollution

and I just realised, a marker of my return to 'fitness', will be th etime it takes me to do the 'useual' 'clean through the house', Sunday housework... - judging by my efforts today..... its takig about twice as long as it would normlaly have done

I have done almost no housework apart from washing clothes and dishes. My younger son did a top to bottom clean including carpet shampooing while he was here. I'll put the vacuum cleaner round before I go to Ireland, but may avoid the stairs even now.

Quentin Crisp is so wrong. I know... my lodger's been experimenting with his idea for over a decade now, and it is most certainly more and more noticible, and it does build up! Well, I actually gained sufficient consciousness today, before midday, to do something useful with a bit of that time, and put laundry away and did some tidying as well as the more useual drinking coffee, taking drugs and eating something - third day being back on melatonin.... maybe it does help me sleep
