Today our department went on a retreat (all 53 full-time staff) to a hotel called the Gold Coast out in the country by the sea.The animated discussions were halted at 4.30 by the curtains being drawn and a birthday cake being brought in for me with five candles on it. Are they working to base 110 here?

They're probably working in "year of the ..." mode (12 animals?), and are a little ahead of themselves.
Either that or the original fell foul of the fire regulations
