h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Today we trekked to St. John, the second-closest town, where our appliance dealer lives. We ordered a new dryer. This was necessary because the one we inherited with the house gave up the ghost, and neither of us wanted to go back to hanging out laundry on the outside lines, especially with it having snowed last night. So it goes. We were planning to do this just before the baby arrived anyhow, so it merely means we accelerated the schedule a bit.
