The first baby chicks hatched from eggs here were born today. I guess this means that at least one of the roosters is fertile. So far we've heard a lot of peeping, but seen no more than three chicks at a time. In a day or two mother hen will get off the nest and we'll know more. The other chickens were harassing her, so we moved the nest box into the poultry isolation ward (aka guest bathroom) inside. Tomorrow I'll start clearing out the back room of the chicken coop for the new additions to live in while they grow large enough to interact with the flock.
Also today I finished another book chapter and plugged away at accounting that I am way behind on finishing. It was rainy all day so I took a day off from gardening and yardwork.
