As Qatar have won the World Cup in 2022, perhaps now would be a good time to remind the world how good they are at the beautiful game?

You think that's bad, Gosho - you should watch these Aussies bowl...

Don't give me any spoilers! I'm waiting for someone to upload the highlights from the first day of the second test. Failing that I'll have to grab the TMS commentary - all eight hours of it! So as of now, I've no idea where we stand in the second test.

I thought the first one was a cracker though smiley - bigeyes

smiley - headhurtsthat was Qatar??? They even showed that on the news recently, and I hadn't memorised who it was. In almost 40 years of watching smiley - football I don't think I've seen anything that bad by a player, and I remember Gary Sprake chucking the ball into his own net. Heck, it was easier to score than miss?

There was an equally good one from the 1970s Football League they used to show all the time. I can't remember the team, but the guy was in a white shirt, iirc. He won the ball in his own half, ran the length of the pitch, then seem to trip over his feet in front of goal, putting it left of the goal.

Gary Sprake! I haven't heard that name for a while. smiley - biggrin

Even as a Leeds fan, I can forgive him all of his odious errors for the pure entertainment value.

My Mum was born in Leeds, as was my elder brother. My Dad moved from the Manchester area to be with her and they lived in Leeds for a while, only moving to Cleethorpes when they were expecting me smiley - biggrin

The whole family were big Leeds Utd AFC fans while I was growing up and Dad & Keith took every opportunity to attend games at Elland Road. My Aunt (Mum's brother's wife) worked in the office and they also "roomed" young apprentices. Football seemed so innocent thensmiley - erm

smiley - offtopic(sorry Rich)
