Actually, we are 'official' as of the amount of time it takes the Royal Mail to carry a letter 13 miles and the amount of time it takes a bank to cash a cheque. Yep, in about six months time we'll be members of the Devon Cricket Board!
And funnily enough, we'll have Affiliated membership

14 months will be the middle of our winter, EMR - we only play between late April and early September Though I have been threatening to arrange winter beach cricket matches for a while now...
Funny you should mention that, Mal - we lost to a pony centre last year We might play there again in 2010.

Oh, fantastic! You'll be more than welcome. I presumed you'd be over for a shorter period in 14 months time... 
Did I miss some news? Any particular reason for the long trip?
I stick our fixtures up at http://www.cavendishcavaliers.com/fixtures.php - there will be a lot more than those by the time we get to March. I'm hopeful of setting up a few games against little village sides, so remind me nearer the time to recommend some of the more exceptional settings to you.

Fingers crossed, I'll be studying abroad at Oxford for two terms in 2011--and it would be criminal of me not to see hootooers on my first trip to the UK in 8 years!
