Just packing up my stuff for a Slovenia cave exploration trip - one week ferrying huge loads up a mountain, a month caving / eating / dossing on the plateau, and one last week carrying everything back down again. I missed the last few summers, so I'm making up for it by going for the full duration this time. I hope it won't rain for 6 weeks like it did last summer.

It's lovely to hear from you again. Oh - what I wouldn't have given for a nice hot bath at my lightning-lashed mountaintop campsite. Making do with stripping off after a long deep trip with a sponge and a pint of cold water to try and get clean enough to not stick to my new sleeping bag really made me appreciate home comforts.

hello again. Home comforts are my speciality. not sure I could do without a hot bath and a warm fire for too long. Tell me all about your travels - the mountaintop part sounds intriguing.
