The death of Junior

Post 1

Yesterday, Monday the thirteenth of September 1999 saw the final minutes of my beloved car. It had stayed with me through seven long years of adrenalin filled rides and it was with tears in my eyes that I had to let go of the steering wheel for the last time... I will miss you, very much!

I would just like to offer my cincerest condolences.
It is so sad to loose someone as beloved. What species was poor Junior?
Grief grief grief

Sad it is yes, even tragic one might say. To lose such a faithful companion.... is a tragedy. It was a little Honda Civic; a model probably unknown to you. But it was a good one.

Life goes on though, and so does the universe, and everything also doesn't fail to keep its mission. As long as there is cheeze in a can, I can stay happy. Not because it is cheeze, but because it comes in a can...

Oh, but I do know Honda Civic. >sob< They are so cute and cuddly. What colour?
I myself have a VW Golf Variant in flash(very)red, but it's still very much alive. Relief.
I like cans too.

The miracle of cans!!!

First, let me say that Junior was a spotless white. And his memory will live on with me forever.

Second, I have to agree with you, cans are loveable!! They have saved me from starvation many a time. There is always somewhere, something in a can that can be very useful to you. Be it canned whipped cream (for those intense moments...) or more simply canned beer (less fragile, hence you can carry them anywhere!!).

Carry on little cans, my heart goes out to you, wherever you are!!!

Cans Rule - almost

I always imagined Junior to be white. Somehow it seems the only colour befitting his kind. Tragic… I hope you have nice pictures to keep the pleasant memory.

Yes, cans are magnificent. After the first few – and, sadly, lethal – incidents, the evolution of the can has been a beneficent one. The miraculous contents of cans and the omnipresent existence of them make them truly mans best friend.
Cans with crisps, tuna, beans, tomato and fruit can keep man alive for months or even years, while cans of Guinness or Coca Cola can quench the thirst in the best fathomable way possible.
Where would we be without cans? Just imagine bringing a box of tomato, a sack of tuna and a plastic bag of Guinness… (YELP) The mere thought gives me the creeps!
I suppose you can feel sorry for me: I live in Denmark where - for reasons to obscure, political or corrupt to understand – it is prohibited to sell beer or other carbonated refreshments in cans*. Environmental protection, they claim. I could tell you a story, I could… Environmental my b - - -.
So I always buy bunches of cans with liquid contents when travelling in nations where the supply is legal, so that I may quench my thirst and silence my can-desires when at home.
Much to my boyfriends dismay as he often has to carry the load…

*: The only exception to this rule is, for some reason, Swedish apple-cider and Danish fruit juice of one specific brand.
