I am sure it will happen again. Probably in the not too distant future. Maybe something slightly different though...

It was fun to do and very weird! I was thinking maybe November, set something up. Everyone needs lots of notice for this kind of thing...

That would limit the outside posibilities, we are talking about a British November. You know rain, wind and being a touch nippy around the edges.

We're up for it. November's the end of the summer beer festival season so it sounds a good time to me.
What are we going to do anyway? Any ideas? How about Pub Rounders?
Or perhaps Pub Golf? Maybe even a dry boat race?
All done in the warm. Although you can get wet.

I once tried Pup golf while in Manchester. I was dragged out by a mate in the rugby club. It nearly killed me, I only made it to the nineth hole. Fun at the time, though the following morning was a total mare.

Pup golf? Never tried that one, do you have to teach them to sit first so that you can get a good swing without them wandering off?

The rules of PUB golf (see I can type when I think about it) vary from area to area, but the general gist is the same. Each pub is one hole and the point is to survive all 18, while having at least one alcoholic drink at each hole.

Depending on the interpretations of the rules, of course - we're currently getting "fit" for a game where each drink will be a predetermined number of strokes: those par fives are gonna be killers!
Incidentally, hi all...

Hi Hypo,
The way we play pub golf is with the number of strokes being the number of gulps/mouthfulls/sips that you have to drink the drink. Each pub got its par by the role of a dice (usualy a ten sided one) and you were only allowed to have each drink once. So you could only have one whiskey, one pint of lager, one bottle of lager, one stout... you get the idea. We did this so often that we even made up our own little score cards with the crawl route on the back with our own names and addresses with a note saying that if anyone found us laying in the street could they stick us in a cab home. I made it to the finish about three quaters of the time, but only came in under par once.
