Say, would you happen to have the same first-name as my TomCat? Something in another string seems to suggest something like that.
I'm pretty far in making a "Gandalf-wand" now. Some of my pupils think I'm stark staring mad, others have no doubts...

You mean, O..? Yep... As I said, very nice name - even though having somebody from outside the Scandinavian countries pronouncing it leads to the funniest results 
I'm not very fond of the "Spanish" version....

My Ole suggests the Russian version; Oleg. (Pronounced something like åljæg)
Anyways, tomorrow I'll start painting my wand. It is a staff, empowered with greatness and able to wield extreme force in the hands of an apt wizard.
It is also a former curtain-rod, tapestry-glue and 1½ newspaper.
Imagination is prowess!!!
