Would it be crule to bring a child in to this world knowing that he may inherit my paranoia and the fact that i think too much and always expect the worst to happen.

I don't think paranoia is an hereditary thing . I tend to work round it by not thinking much about what will happen at all.

I like to know what my boyfriend's doing, not because I don't trust him but because it's not easy being apart so much and that's the closest I can get a lot of the time. He's the same so it all works out . I used to worry about things far more than I do now, I guess I don't so much now as each time things have gone wrong I've picked myself up and things have ended up better than they were before in some unpredictable way.

Well thats the problem i don't see my self as a very good looking fella i have no skills so i automaticaly think there cheating due to the fact that i have a low self confidence any way can paranoia be handed down from farther to son

I don't consider myself as overly good looking either, but my relationship started from a very casual chat, at one of the h2g2 meet ups actually. Just started talking and continued talking for over a year before we sorted things out . I knew him well enough before we got together in order for him to have my complete trust without a second thought. I guess we were lucky in getting to know each other so well

Trusting too much can be a problem too. I guess it's a matter of getting the balance right, as with about everything else
