4 stringed guitar

When I was a lad I wanted to play the guitar. As I grew up, I found my fingers getting too fat to play one properly. Great for keyboards, but not strings. In an effort to overcome this I designed and built a guitar with only four strings. I removed the low E and A strings and spaced out the remaining D, G, B and E strings to give 66% more room between them. This worked fine, a little tinny, maybe, but not bad.
I wrote a dozen or so songs, made an album using my computer, and did a few "open mike" gigs in local pubs. No one had seen a 4 stringed guitar before, and my act was a bit of a novelty.
I've recently found some info on the web about Tenor Guitars... they have 4 strings, and can be tuned like mine, or the same as a ukelele. I had no idea they existed. Apparantly, Jhango Reinhart had one!
If anyone else has one, or has made one, could you let me know?
Thanks!

Sorry to barge in, I like looking at peoples PS's. I'm on the CPU thread.
That's quite a neat idea. I have a guitar, but love bass, so I generally just ignore the top two strings (B and e). I've heard Jimi Hendrix used to play a right handed guitar upside down when he first started out, but I'm not sure how true that is. One of my friends tried a similar thing, don't know if it works for him or not.
