Some catchy and/or funny sentences I heard in UK:
"Mind the gap please"
"Look left"
"Oyster card"
"Hot dogs are the ennemy"
"Maida Vale"
"Brilliant!" said by a Scottish is the most remarkable word ever.
"What?" when my french friend is speaking.

Some things I remark:
-They are too much French in London.
-Buckingham palace have a longue queue.
-Don't speak to a French in english there, they just don't understand you.
-French people are quite easily spot amongst English.
-There are very very few Quebecers there, almost inexisting.
-Youth hostels can be just... disgusting.
-Museum are free and church not, it is the exact contrary in France.
-There are lot of portraits of Prime minister in the National Portrait Gallery even one of Gordon Brown, but no Tony Blair... (Haven't seen any personnaly, might be wrong).
-The rosetta stone is surround by people while no one is looking at the Asian exposition.
-Mice eat bread (in the youth hostel).
-Big brother is watching you everywhere there (subways, roads, bus even toilets!)
-There is a really nice subway station on the Jubilee line near the Bond station.
-If you wear a smiley - towel you will have people who will ignore you intentionnaly, others will just found that funny.
-I found the price there exactly as the canadien one, exept that they just change the $ sign for a £ one (quite the double...).
-I have an accent.

Edinbourgh was very funny, I touch a real Hammish coo!
I also seen a Monty Python castle, visit the Edinburgh castle and museum and librairy. But I didn't have enough time in there, I should have spend more time.
Haggis is great! for breakfast... Haven't found any restaurant without reservation to eat one for supper.
Haven't seen any living statue, but I blink a lot there.
The Earl Court Police box is funny to be photograph with smiley - tardis.
I don't like Guiness smiley - ale but smiley - cider yes (there is too much beer in one anyway: 500 mL).
London's Museum are great, they are the best sincerely (except for the Museum of London (near the Barbarians) which was really disappointing and was making pity).
The Globe and the BBC Proms have great tickets at low price, I really enjoy watching King Lear (standing) and the interpretation of Mass C from Beethoven was great and the piece from Ralph Williams too (BBC Proms 43).

No I haven't, there is a TARDIS there? I can't believe I miss it! That's just... frustrating, I've seen the London one, but not this one. That's outrageous.

Good luck there, some people say it might still contain one or two vampires...

Try to watch some of the festivites, it's the Edinburgh festival this month, good stuff there.
