My Father is in a Home in Hampshire, I went Sat to visit, and found him in bed, I was not told, he wasn't wearing his hearing aids, which were full of wax, and not working. With one battery to two adis. He was very cold to the touch,and only in a vest. We put his pyjama jacket on and closed his window. His whisky and sherry had run out I was not told. He had a plaster (band aid) on his right hand I was not told, staff didn't know why or how this had happened. I have now complained to the manager.

Father passed away 8/03/12. He had been ill for a long while. His funeral was at Basingstoke Crematorium. I read a tribute;
Charles XXXX Born Derby 6/08/1924. Married Joyce Mary XXXX, and had two children myself and my brother. Stepgrandfather, grand father, and great grandfather.
Dad was often wrong but would not admit it, but remember we are all human and make mistakes, dispite this he was my Father and I will miss him.
His ashes are to be scattered at the same spot as mother's. This is the Remembrance Garden, 4 Chesil Street, Winchester, Hants.
His war medals are in the care of the Royal Green Jackets (The Rifles) Museum, Penisula Barracks, Romsey Road, Winchester. I returned his Masonic Regalia to the Masons.
