Into town this morning to pick up my new specs. They are pretty smart and The Boss thinks they make me look 'cool'
After lunch we went to the feast sale at Pendeen. I sold my golf clubs and the church benefited by it and I am pleased that I don't have to keep looking at them knowing I can't play anymore.
We spent some time there talking to old friends and catching up on their news.
This is St. Just Feast week end. It is a bit like Christmas without the presents. St. Just folk who have moved away come home from all over the world this week end. It is a real family time.
There is a clay pigeon shoot, a local derby football match and a rugby match with a visiting team. The local 'notables' process to church tomorrow led by Pendeen silver band. After the service almost everyone goes to the pub, gets falling down p****d and then go home to 'The Feast' It is a week end of eating and drinking. The Boss and I will have the children all day tomorrow so that The Son and his wife can spend the day with their friends. We will take them out for lunch and to a park somewhere(if the weather is good enough)
Today has been really sunny and quite warm, the sea has calmed down and the mess from the storms has mostly been cleared up.
