Girlie thread alert
Aw shucks.
Yesterday I must've been yards from the icious DT while I was shopping!

He was on the front page of the paper last night - I kept seeing it in shops (he was sporting a very short basin-cut hairstyle, slightly dodgy to be honest but obviously for the part) - but I failed to engage my brain and BUY a copy !

R'man... I had to check Jules' link before I knew who she was talking about
Jules... you know he's just a person, don't you? (David Tenant, not Recumbentman, who is one of my idols )

Am I the only one who finds it rather disconcerting when DT is speaking in a regular interview that he's got a Scottish accent? The voice he uses in Doctor Who is total fake.

Am I the only one who finds it amazing that GreyDesk objects to actors using borrowed accents
Does he think Robert Redford (who made his character in Out of Africa an American because he couldn't do British) is therefore a better actor than Meryl Streep??
Not a lot of people know this, but Michael Caine used a posh accent once (in Zulu).
And yes, JulesK, of course you're on my Friends list. And I only posted my silly comment in order to be able to say "Who??"

Sho - employed again! Posted May 13, 2007
it was hilarious, but we all ignored it, R'man!
I think DTs Who accent is fantastic and very sexy but I prefer his natural accent.
But then look at actors like Johnny Depp (oh yes please ) he uses a variety of accents, as do many others. I love it.

*wonders if GD would object to my RL non-Sheffield accent*

I have an Indian friend who prefers to be known as DT, partly because people often get his real name wrong. You can imagine my confusion, especially when I didn't have a clue who you were talking about anyway.
