Ok, here goes:
Sera was my ex-housemate (no relation to me at all)
In my family, there are 8 of us in total
My Spanish dad and hippie mom (go figure) and then there's us:
Danika, my older sis(32); Storme, the 10-year old; Providence, another sis(18) - if you've seen Phoebe on friends, they are just the same! and my brothers are twins, Jon and Mickey (21).

wow. That is a lot of kids.
How did your parents cope???
My parents have difficulties coping with just two of us, and the idea of having a third child, let alone 6 more would most likely result in them heading for the hills.

aw. Must be a mad house though during christmas and other family get togethers! Are you all close?

Trust me, it's relatively calm with 6 kids in a family. Compared to this many years later when we are all grown, married and bringing grand-kids to Thanksgiving, Easter or Christmas. Suddenly a 4-bedroom house seems very, VERY tiny.

My mum grew up in an extended family. Her parents basically raised her, and her 2 brothers, her dad's several brothers, and other random relatives that kept popping in. Family reunions are now massive. I get confused each time I meet them as I've only grown up in a small family comparatively.

Some of us are close. Some not.

None of us have every been huggy-kissy close. In fact, it's perhaps 10 years since I have seen my eldest brother, 5 or 6 since seeing the eldest sister. And yet, we'd fight to the death for each other. Some bonds never fade ...

yeah. Mum has that very close bond with her family. Its quite bad really If anyone (read my dad, or us kids) says anything about them which may be the truth, but unfavourable, she just goes off the handle.
Oh well.
