Well, the bad things I was afraid of happening don't seem to have happened, and some unexpected things have been said recently that make me feel a lot more positive at the moment.
It might not last, but things are definitely looking better.

Things are *definitely* getting better. I just hope the prevailing mood continues, and people don't revert back to old positions.
