All Americans will always remeber 9/11. The day terror stuck the hearts of millions, and together we bonded with that fear to make the world a somewhat safer place. The day that shook the world and began a new era in airports everywhere. But all the fighting we have done, all the lives we have lost in forign lands still didn't prevent terror from striking us all again. The attacks in London hit close to home, though I live thousands of miles away. Most of H2G2ers are from London, and I have been there before. Seen all the sites and walked the streets, now riddled with saddness. But the thing the terrorists dont seem to get is that the more you try to break us apart, the stonger we become.
Hold stong, the enimy will break.

You know the Australian embassy in Indonesia was also bombed, and plans were discovered for attacking Australian icons such as the Sydney Opera House... nobody is safe.
And my heart goes out to all the people in London right now - and everybody who has ever been hurt by terrorism.
My cousin is in London at the moment. She was on a bus at the time of the explosion and she said that everyone had to get off all the public transport just in case. She rang her fiancee, who rang my uncle, who rang my grandmother, who rang my mother who told me that she was okay. Thank God. There have been about 7 Aussies injured by the bombs, 2 critically, but none killed.

Oh man! Noone is ever going to beat them! as long as theres a leader of something, there will always be someone trying to take them down

The whole point of terrorism is to inspire fear in people. It's not to kill people, it's to make them truly afraid.
So we can't panic, or we'll give them what we want. Douglas was right: Don't Panic.

Ik! Man, DNA was a genious... but still, the idea of fear will always be here.. *sigh* I just wish people wouldnt harness it as a weapon

Yeah, I know what you mean.
But then again, there are a lot of things I wish - especially for an end to sadness and pain in the world. There's so much of it that it's difficult for some people to see the light.
Any ideas on how to make it go away, even in our everyday lives?

*hug* THANKKS! I feel alot better today! It rained like nuts and we had a HUDGE lightning storm and I went to the movies with this TOTAL babe ...:P and er... OH I went shopping with my friend! I t was a good day!

hi fords these terrorists will never break our resolve as you say it mmakes us stronger quite a few years ago we had our run in with terrorists from ireland and they never broke us so you could say we are used to it but you never get used to it im even going to london in few weeks they cant scare me otherwise they beaten us

There has to be an end to this.
It just makes me SO ANGRY that people could treat other people in this manner.
Innocent people.
People who have never personally done anything to any of the terrorist groups or any of the terrorists individually.
We have to be strong - we can't crack. We can't let them weaken us. We can't let them get away with it.
